The story of Forbidden is a testament to resilience. Founded in 1985 as Forbidden Evil, the band quickly established themselves among the Bay Area thrash elite, often mentioned alongside giants like Death Angel and Exodus. Their debut, Forbidden Evil (1988), was a statement of intent, but it was with Twisted Into Form (1990) that they achieved widespread acclaim, thanks to a more technical and melodic sound.

Forbidden had a first comeback in 2007, culminating in the album Omega Wave (2010), but the reunion was short-lived, largely due to personal issues. However, in 2023, the band reformed with a completely different approach: a lineup built to last.

This new incarnation of Forbidden doesn't rely solely on its original members. The choice of vocalist Norman Skinner is key. With his style that blends modern and classic influences, Skinner is the ideal successor to the original vocalist. Joining him is drummer Chris Kontos, an iconic figure in the Bay Area scene, and Voivod guitarist Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain, who joined for the tour. This lineup not only brings top-tier talent but also sends a clear message: this is no second-rate project. The band has learned from its history and prioritized dedication, a shared vision, and credibility.
